Flexible Server Options
Self Server Option:
With this option, the physical server housing ZipChart and all patient data is physically installed
(and owned by) the individual medical practice.
If the practice has more than one location, only one server
is required with the remote offices having a standard broadband
Internet connection. There is no need for a complicated VPN (virtual
private network) or other special network connection.
The practice has complete physical control of the patient records while the standard ZipChart daily online offsite backups still offer the confidence of reliable data storage without the worry of setting up internal backup hardware and procedures. Any updates to the ZipChart software are also automatically applied for no additional cost.
ASP Option:
With this option, the server is owned by ZipChart and housed in a state-of-the-art data center. The ASP model has evolved because it offers some advantages over traditional approaches, especially for small businesses and startups. The biggest advantage of an ASP model is low cost of entry and, in most cases, a decreased lead time for initial installation. |
